What a way to end the FLVMX season! Over 110 entries, a great selection of items for the Carlye Mabrey Benefit silent auction, and great racing on top of all that.
A last minute change to run the Sand Track at Hard Rock Cycle Park due to weather concerns had the FLVMX crowd racing on a track that we had not been on in this season. The previous days rains had the track in great shape for the event and the anticipated storms held off till all the racing and auction was complete.
Generous donors had over 4 tables full of items for the auction, including an autographed Jim Pomeroy t-shirt, some old school jerseys and gear as well as Mike Metzger autographed mx pants and jersey. Along with the Carlye Mabrey event t-shirts, there were plenty of opportunities to help one of our families. Check back for a total amount raised with the day’s activities and for the points, results, & photos from the day.
Everyone have a great off season, check back often for news and info for the 08 Awards Banquet and the upcoming 08-09 FLVMX Season. Thanks to everyone for a great season of vintage mx racing.

It was a great day of racing at Dirt Farm MX in Folkston, Georgia . The great facility hosted the 10th round of the Florida Vintage MX series. It was a total opposite from the last time we raced there with dry conditions and a hot, hot day! We ran the full layout instead of the short course we raced last time and there was some great racing! The new section added some technical sections with an off camber ant hill and some tricky jump combinations. But everyone learned the track and rode it hard.
Next on the schedule for the FLVMX Series is the final round of the season and the 2nd Annual Carlye Mabrey Benefit race. The race will be at Hard Rock Cycle Park in Ocala and it has been determined yet if we will be on the National Track or the Outback Track. Check back for updates. Also, bring some extra cash as there will be lots of great stuff available at the silent auction after the racing concludes. And it will be double points, so you can bet on some hard racing to decide several class championships.
