INTRODUCING THE MARTIN COUNTY OHV (OFF HIGHWAY VEHICLE) CLUB

Finally the answer to the universal question on the Treasure Coast. Where can I ride my dirt bike or my ATV. Well the answer my be coming.

Martin County has expressed an interest in developing an off highway vehicle park to accommodate ATV's, minibikes, and motocross bikes. The County has presented an opportuntiy to the off road commmunity, if we can organize a club that could fund, develop, and manage an OHV facility they would be willing to lease that club some county owned property. Anyone interested in off road riding could have could have a safe and well managed place to ride. (View a pdf of the plans)

This is what has been done to date. A nonprofit corporation has been formed called Martin County OHV Club Inc. Over the past few months we have retained the services of a land planner and have produced the drawing you see here. The drawing is conceptual only and is not meant to be a final plan. As you can see the facility will also accommodate the Trap and Skeet shooting club as well (another fun off road activity). This endeavor is a work in progress and is not a sure thing, but eveyone we have spoken to has had a positive response.

This is the first step. At this point in the process the Martin County OHV Club needs to know how much interest there is and how much support it can count on from its potential members. If you are interested in suporting off road riding in Marttin County please fill out the attached pledge letter and mail it back. Be Honest about the amount of time you would have to work, the amount of money you would be willing to spend on membership and riding fees, and other resources you would have available to help. All this information will help us determine the level of resources we have to work with. Please do not send any money at this time, as things progress we will keep you updated through email. This is not a membership application, actual membership will come later when more details are available.

If you want to help, right now the best thing you can do is to tell any one who rides or is thinking about riding about this great opportunity. Take 5 pledge forms with you and recruit 5 new potential OHV members.

Thank you for your interest in the Martin County OHV Club,
RIDE SAFE
